President Obama is presenting his budget today....any bets on how soon before the Senate Republicans declare it "dead on arrival"?

Taxing the rich to pay for health care? Republicans won't like that! After all, that is socialism...redistribution of wealth and all. So....what do you call it when the rich get a huge tax cut, and the middle and lower incomes get a $600 tax cut? If I understand what Obama is proposing, the value of itemized deductions for those in the 35% tax bracket would be reduced. Thus, the value of itemized deductions would be about $2800, or the same as for those taxpayers in the 28% bracket.
