This is probably a good move. The Senate is going to meet between now and the X-mas break, and Obama would have to vote on any stimulus bill that comes up, thus putting him on the record one way or another.....when he probably has his own ideas for getting the economy going.
I also think it's a good idea to stay far away from Bush's upcoming Economic Summit....if Obama were to show up, anything...good or bad...coming out of that summit would stick to him....why risk having some serious stink rub off on ya?
